The Chair of the London assembly, Susan Hall describes the BBC panorama Chris Kaba documentary as “absolutely appalling” and “one sided” at the Police and Crime committee.

The murder of the unarmed black man by a white police officer, Martyn Blake has been a topic of much discussion, and the Panorama documentary of the Chris Kaba police shooting highlights the problem the MET faces in regards to regaining the public trust, especially in marginalised communities where the trust is already fractured.

The £10,000 bounty that is alleged to have been put on Martyn Blake since his acquittal, seems to be disingenuous and possibly a ploy to muddy the waters in regards to public opinion in the police and how they implement law and order, are they policing by consent or by force.

Susan, ran as the Conservative candidate for the London Mayoral elections earlier this year, losing to arch rival Sadiq Khan, who was critical of the MET’s fatal response.
